Golden Star Carriers moves full and empty containers between Durban port, inland depots and client premises across South Africa. It is our flagship service and the one our fleet and our KwaZulu-Natal base are built around: a GIT-insured, GPS-tracked operation running the Durban to Johannesburg and Durban to Bloemfontein corridors, with owner-operator access when a load needs it.

Container cartage is the movement leg either side of the port, and it typically breaks down into three parts.
Port collectionA container is collected from Durban port and moved to its inland
destination, whether that is a client warehouse, a distribution centre or a further depot.
Delivery to inland premisesThe loaded container is delivered directly to the client’s
site, coordinated around site access, offloading equipment and any special handling the load requires.
Return of emptiesOnce a container is offloaded, the empty unit is returned to the
depot or port it needs to go back to, closing out the cycle so the container can be repositioned for its next load.
